Paris

Gentle Gourmet Cafe

The black and white interiors and an intimate glass room seating overlooking the beautiful Parisian streets and buildings look plush while the dim lighting sets the right mood for a romantic dinner. The three-course gourmet meal that is exquisitely decorated will certainly impress your date. Don’t forget to leave room for their deliciously decadent desserts (although we’d avoid the macaroon dessert).

Word of caution: Their service is extremely slow, and on a busy day like Valentine’s it can take some really long time for you to get your meals on the table. So make sure to head here only if you plan to spend a long time having an intimate chat or gazing into each other’s eyes while waiting for your meal. However, if you are pressed for time we’d recommend other options.

24 Boulevard de la Bastille, Paris 75012; T: +33 143434849

Loving Hut

Not a place you’d think of taking your date for Valentine’s dinner, but this lovely restaurant located in the heart of the city with great food and lovely ambiance is different from the fast food Loving Hut branches you’ll see in other parts of the world. Their pear cake is to die for and pretty much everything on the menu is delicious. Unpretentious but cozy and romantic in a deceptive way!

92, Boulevard de Beaumarchais, Paris 75011; T: 0148064384

P.S. Since its closed on Sundays and if you plan to go for the Valentine’s dinner on the V-Day itself then you might want to consider Saveurs Veget’halles (veggie French cuisine) or our another favorite – the raw vegan gourmet place 42 Degres.

Berlin

No wonder Berlin is considered the vegan’s paradise, with so many awesome vegan places in town its seriously hard to pick two, so we managed to squeeze in four best vegan restaurants in Berlin for your Valentine’s day romantic dinner.

Sfizy Veg

If you are bored from the clichéd romantic restaurants then change things up this Valentine’s with Sfizy Veg. After all, romance does not always mean getting dressed up and having fancy meals. This quaint little vegan pizza place with an intimate atmosphere and candlelight dinner unexpectedly offers a romantic setting that promises to deliver a special evening to remember.  Its mismatched artistic decor that somehow makes sense and postered walls against dim lights add character and intimacy that’ll set the right mood. With an extensive pizza menu, this place is heaven for the foodies and your vegan date will love you for treating them with a rare delight – authentic vegan pizza.

Tucked in London’s affluent  Notting Hill, this is London’s first teetotaller bar. But don’t let that deter you from making a reservation as the drinks are far from ordinary and we promise that the food, service and its plush interiors with marble top tables and turquoise chairs will make this an unforgettable Valentine’s evening. The food here is as ethical as it gets – locally sourced, mostly organic but without compromising on the flavor – a culinary treat that’ll set the right mood. Best part? You can enjoy the most amazing cocktails (sorry mocktails) without the nasty hangover, which means your Valentine’s night can continue until the next day noon. Mumbai

A vegetarian’s heaven, Mumbai is still at a nascent stage when it comes to veganism. But that doesn’t deter the city from offering incredibly romantic places for a vegan meal. Here are our favorite vegetarian restaurants in Mumbai that make perfect picks for Valentine’s date night (and yes they offer amazing vegan options too).

Burma Burma

Finding vegan Burmese cuisine can be a challenging task, and if you find one this should be experienced on a special occasion like Valentine’s Day. Situated in the heart of Mumbai’s financial district, Fort, Burma Burma‘s interiors inspired by tea-room concept with its pretty paper parasols hanging on the ceiling and prayer wheels in the corner is charming and deceptively romantic. The moment you spot the place, its welcoming earthy wooden decor immediately relaxes and calms your mood. Most items on the menu are vegan, and this is one of the few places in town that would understand the term ‘vegan’ making it easier for you to order. The flavorsome food coupled with seamless traditional service and charm will ensure this will be your ultimate date night. Ending your meal in Asian style with their amazing monkey-picked Oolong tea is highly recommended.

Tuskers

For the classic date night – five-star restaurant, royal elegant interiors and a service to match Tuskers make for the perfect choice You wouldn’t expect an authentic Indian vegetarian restaurant inside the very French luxury hotel chain Sofitel, but well Mumbai is full of surprises. The elephant themed decor (these regal creatures are vegetarians) of this sophisticated restaurant with its warm tones, sleek veneer accentuated by gold accents adding richness to the place, its dim yellow lightning and delicious Rajasthani and Gujarati Indian cuisine undoubtedly puts this place on top of the list of fancy vegan date spots in town. Make sure to mention and specify what is vegan before you order. Once you are done here, you can head to Sofitel’s fabulous lounge for a drink to kick off start the night!

Breeze Lounge

A rooftop lounge overlooking Hiranandani lake and Mumbai’s skyline in the buzzing Powai screams romance. This vegetarian lounge serves Italian and Mediterranean cuisine mostly loaded with cheese but you can ask them to customize you a vegan fare and they’ll do that with ease. The only lowdown is finding a vegan dessert to end on a sweet note can get challenging, but you can check with the restaurant a day in advance if they can fix something for your special evening.
